Happy Hump Day, folks!
I know over the summer my postings were a little lacking, and this fall I want to get back into the blogging routine and provide you guys with some super awesome posts. As a health/ healthy food blogger I thought what better way to inspire others to eat well and fuel their bodies than to show them what I eat on a day-to-day basis? Therefore, I’m starting a “What I Ate Wednesday” series for Today Will Be Delicious! Get excited peeps!
This past weekend was our home opener weekend (for you new readers – I’m a college soccer player) so we hosted two games on our home turf Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I thought it might be interesting for you all to see what a college soccer player/nutrition student fuels themselves on GAME DAY. Check it out!
What I Ate Wednesday: Game Day
Breakfast – Whole wheat English muffin with an over-easy egg and a slice of cheddar cheese plus fruit.
Pre-game snack – Banana and a tablespoon of natural almond butter
Post-game meal – Toasted chicken & veggie sandwich on whole wheat with spinach, cucumber, tomato, avocado, cheese, hummus and red onion.
Dinner – A drool-worthy watermelon & feta salad that my mom made!! Plus un-pictured roasted sweet potatoes (my specialty) and baked salmon.
Question: What’s your go-to pre workout/ pre-game fuel?! What about post-workout? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading,
Hannah xo
